New executive appointment to Access Community Services

has announced the appointment of a new Head of Relationships – Clients and Communities to help promote and strengthen the organisation’s services across Queensland.

Rose Vearing is an accomplished executive leader and manager, with more than 25 years’ experience in the disability, aged care, community development and multicultural sectors.

Her past roles include Chief Operations Officer and Acting CEO for peak body Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast; Business Development and Lifestyle Lead for Anglicare; and Vice Chair of the Queensland Government’s Regional Disability Committee.

Access Community Services is one of Australia’s leaders in multicultural issues and as part of the broader SSI Group supports newcomers and other vulnerable individuals from across the eastern seaboard achieve their full potential. In Queensland, Access provides services in settlement, employment, training, youth, housing and social enterprise creation.

SSI Group CEO Violet Roumeliotis today welcomed Ms Vearing to the role.

“Rose brings great expertise, and a passion for community engagement and social justice, which will be a great asset for Access and SSI Group,” Ms Roumeliotis said.

“As well as promoting our services to the community across the SSI Group, Rose will build and strengthen our strategic partnerships across the not-for-profit and government arenas and look for new opportunities to support and to advocate for the people of Queensland.”

Ms Vearing is based in Access Community Services’ Wembley Road office in Logan.
