New exhibitions deliver cultural insights

This striking artwork by young artist Dante Coetzee will be on display at the Logan Art Gallery.

Logan Art Gallery will host four culturally diverse exhibitions over the coming weeks.

The new exhibition round opens tonight and will run until Saturday, November 30.

Our Stories and designs features works by seven local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.

Artists Daniel Seed and Rose Richani present personal stories and photographs of life in their village of Orman.

Artworks by young artist Dante Coetzee feature in the annual exhibition Ripple effect: out of Artwaves.

The Logan treasures: art, craft and design pop-up store will feature a range of Christmas gifts.

Logan Art Gallery will host a family fun day to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture.

It will feature an artisan market, food and music.

There also will be artist demonstrations and creative workshops from three of the exhibitions.

The fun day is from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, November 16.

Middle Eastern food will be showcased at the gallery on Saturday, November 30.

Exhibiting artists will attend from 10am to noon.
