New image released by detectives investigating 2013 Sydney CBD stabbing, NSW

A new image of a man detectives believe can assist with inquiries into a 2013 stabbing, has been released by Sydney City Police Area Command.

Detectives are continuing inquiries into the stabbing of an 18-year-old man about 10.30pm on Friday 19 July 2013, at the intersection of Park Street and Castlereagh Street.

The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with stab wounds to his abdomen as well as facial injuries.

Police have been told he was stabbed during a fight involving a large group of males.

As investigations continue, police have released an additional CCTV still image of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries. This man is described as having an olive complexion, medium build, short, dark hair, and about 170cm-180cm tall.

Two other youths being are being sought over the same incident; the second man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his late teens, about 170cm-175cm tall, with short dark hair.

The third man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his late teens, about 165cm-170cm tall with short dark hair.

Anyone that has information or can identify the person depicted is urged to come forward.
