New Lotterywest and Healthway CEO commences

  • Ralph Addis appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Lotterywest and Healthway
  • Mr Addis officially commenced the role this week
  • Premier Mark McGowan and Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson have welcomed the appointment of Ralph Addis as Chief Executive Officer of Lotterywest and Healthway.

    Mr Addis has worked in the Western Australian Public Sector since 2014 as Director General of the Department of Regional Development, and in 2017 became Director General of the newly formed Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

    Mr Addis previously worked in the Kimberley region for almost 20 years, including as the founding CEO of Wunan Foundation and Chair of the Kimberley Development Commission.

    He has longstanding involvements in regional and Aboriginal economic development, including innovation and reforms in commercial development, housing, education, and employment.

    Mr Addis holds qualifications in finance and economics and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    He officially commenced in the Chief Executive Officer role on February 7, 2022.

    Mr Addis takes over from Susan Hunt PSM who retired in August 2021. Jeremy Hubble has been leading both organisations since her retirement.

    As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:

    “Mr Addis is highly accomplished with extensive experience within government, not-for-profit and private sectors.

    “I look forward to working with Mr Addis and seeing the ongoing benefits both Lotterywest and Healthway deliver to the WA community under his leadership. 

    “I’d like to acknowledge and thank Mr Hubble for his valuable contribution over the past five months as Acting CEO.”

    As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

    “This is a very exciting time for Healthway and the experience and knowledge held by Mr Addis will be invaluable to both organisations as we continue to build a better and healthier WA.

    “Thanks to Mr Hubble for his work over the past five months as Acting CEO.

    “Healthway plays an important role in health promotion across WA and I am looking forward to working with Mr Addis to continue this significant work.
