New manufacturing network launches in Campbelltown

Campbelltown manufacturing businesses, large and small, are invited to the launch event of a new network which aims to connect local manufacturers to help them work collaboratively, share skills, build alliances and increase sales.

Council has joined with Southern Strength Agile Manufacturing and the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre to form the Southern Strength Agile Manufacturing Network – Campbelltown Chapter.

A launch breakfast will be held at Western Suburbs League Club on Tuesday, 13 October from 7am to 10am.

The launch features speakers from Campbelltown Council, the NSW Department of Industry, the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre, AusIndustry and Southern Strength.

“Manufacturing is the second largest employment industry in Campbelltown and we have an amazing array of large and small businesses who produce a diverse variety of products,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“This new network will bring manufacturers together with government to produce an open dialogue and share ideas to further develop the advanced manufacturing capabilities of our local industry,” Cr Brticevic said.

“It is important that all our local stakeholders engage with each other so that the region can benefit collectively from the new Western Sydney Airport and the surrounding business opportunities that will come with that,” he said.
