We’re building kinders for children in places where it matters most.
Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn today announced a new Building Blocks Partnership with the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL).
Through this partnership, Labor will invest an initial $5.74 million to deliver a new three-room kindergarten at St. Mary’s Primary School in Swan Hill, as well as funding to explore projects in Coragulac and Koroit.
The future St. Mary’s Early Learning Centre will provide 178 kindergarten places and will offer Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs.
This is Labor’s 22nd Building Blocks Partnership.
Building Blocks Partnerships are creating thousands of new kindergarten places where they are needed most, delivering 125 new and expanded kindergartens.
Labor is investing billions to build and expand hundreds of kinders supporting the weekly delivery of 15 hours of 3-Year-Old Kinder by 2029 and 30 hours of 4-Year-Old Kinder by 2036.
The Liberal-One Nation Coalition has made it clear that cuts are coming which will affect schools, kinders and services Victorian families rely on every day.
Only Labor is investing in every opportunity to support working families and give every child the best start in life.
