New pavilion fit-out at Civic Reserve

Liberal Party Victoria

A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will provide $100,000 towards the fit-out of the soon-to-be-completed sporting pavilion at Civic Reserve in Mornington.

The pavilion will be used by Mount Martha Soccer Club, Mornington Peninsula Athletics Club, Mornington Little Athletics, and other community users.

The opportunity to build the pavilion came after Liberal Candidate for Mornington previously secured $3 million in Federal Liberal Government funds to build both the new world-class athletics track and Mount Martha soccer fields at Civic Reserve.

Shadow Minister for Sport, Cindy McLeish said it was important to invest in local grassroots sporting clubs.

“Anything that helps encourage Victorians to get active or participate in local sporting groups is a win for the community.”

“This investment by the Liberals and Nationals backs grassroots sport and provides both the athletics Clubs and Mount Martha Soccer Club with a facility to be proud of.”

Liberal Candidate for Mornington, Chris Crewther said a Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government is absolutely committed to providing quality facilities for the Mornington and Mount Martha sporting communities.

“This pavilion fit-out will ensure Civic Reserve is one of the premiere sporting facilities in Mornington.”

“On top of having secured the funds to build the athletics track and soccer fields, it’s now great to announce a further funding commitment for the users of these facilities.”
