Tasmania has one of the country’s strongest economies with a record number of people employed, so it has never been more important for successful organisations to invest in their staff.
The Rockliff Liberal Government today congratulates the 15 new Tasmanian employers that have been recognised for their commitment to excellence in workplace culture.
Minister for Skills, Training and Workforce Growth, Felix Ellis, said that these employers joined the more than 100 employers who have been recognised by the Employer of Choice program since 2008.
“For 15 years the EOC program has been recognising Tasmanian employers who have created and invested in positive workplaces that improve attraction and retention for their staff,” Minister Ellis said.
“Being a good employer and with a positive workplace culture is now a key part of recruiting, so this program can really help set organisations and businesses apart from their competition.
“The Employer of Choice program is for Tasmanian employers of any size, across a range of sectors from business, not-for-profit, community and government.
“Employer of Choice recipients say that they are more successful at recruiting and attracting the best people because of the effort they put in to creating great places to work.
“There has never been a more important time for employers to position themselves in a competitive labour market, and being recognised as an Employer of Choice is a really good way to do this.
“The Rockliff Liberal Government will continue to deliver our long-term plan to grow the economy and create more jobs,” Minister Ellis said.
