New Tourism Campaign Inspires Aussies to ‘Seek Different’

NT Government

The best of the Northern Territory will be on show to the rest of the country over the coming months, with a new tourism campaign officially launching.

The visual campaign, which showcases the Territory’s most impressive natural attractions and adventure experiences, is designed to inspire Australian travellers to ‘Seek Different’ when it comes to booking their next domestic escape.

The campaign also ties in with Tourism NT’s brand ‘Different in every sense.’

The Territory Labor Government has invested $2.5 million to run the campaign across multiple platforms around Australia until the end of April.

This includes:

· Cinemas broadcasting the two-minute film

· Television commercials

· Social media videos

· Advertising in national newspapers

· Three weeks’ worth of Territory travel segments on Channel 10’s The Project

Qantas and TripAdvisor have also partnered with the ‘Seek Different’ campaign to promote deals for Australians to book the Territory as their next destination.

The campaign will help the Territory capitalise on the booming drive-tourism market.

Quotes from Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, Natasha Fyles

“The Territory has remained the safest place in the country during the coronavirus crisis, and this pits us at the top of the list for domestic travel.

“With international travel off the cards for the foreseeable future, we know how important visitors from interstate will be for our economic comeback and for Territory jobs.

“Our tourism sector has suffered immensely throughout the pandemic, and so we must continue to support the sector through campaigns such as this one.

“I encourage all Territorians to reach out to their friends and families in other jurisdictions and encourage them to holiday here this dry season and beyond.”

Quotes from the voice of the Seek Different Campaign, Charlie King:

“The Territory is such an incredible place that I always want to share it with people because I know, if they visit, they will want to come back again and will share their experiences with other people.

“There is no place quite like the Territory.”
