The New Zealand trade dashboard shows export and import data for goods and services by country and commodity type. The dashboard brings this information together from various Stats NZ sources.
You can view:
- key trade data by country, country group, or customised country groups – you can also compare countries
- key trade data about goods and services by product type
- two-way trade by country.

Our aim is to appeal to a wide range of customers, from those curious about how much dairy products we export (and where they go) to customers wishing to download trade data for further analysis.
What you’ll see
The dashboard was built using R-Shiny. It is designed to be responsive and viewable on any electronic device. For best performance we recommend using a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
Data sources
Goods data is from Overseas merchandise trade.
Services data is from International trade.
Data quality
- The ‘select a country, or group’ option allows you to view the trade that New Zealand has with different countries and economic territories.
- The rank (two-way trade) is based on including both countries and economic territories.
