Nominations for areas to be considered for inclusion in the 2023 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release are now open.
The annual petroleum acreage release is part of the Australian Government’s strategy to promote offshore oil and gas exploration to ensure ongoing energy security and affordability whilst Australia transitions to a clean energy future.
Nominate areas for consideration for inclusion in the 2023 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release through the online form on business.gov.au.
Nominations close at 11:59 pm AEST Thursday 1 September 2022. Submissions made after this time will be considered as part of any future release.
