Businesses, community groups, schools, sporting clubs and cultural organisations are encouraged to nominate for the 2024 Queensland Reconciliation Awards.
The awards actively champion reconciliation by celebrating the creation of meaningful partnerships and employment opportunities, and efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of First Nations communities.
The annual awards have recognised more than 100 initiatives and partnerships for fostering a more inclusive Queensland since their inception in 2003.
The Waijungbah Jarjums Service was one of five initiatives recognised at the 2023 Queensland Reconciliation Awards ceremony in Brisbane, winning the overall Premier’s Reconciliation Award and the health and wellbeing category.
Delivered by Gold Coast Health, the Waijungbah Jarjums service improves health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families from pregnancy through to childhood.

An overall Premier’s Reconciliation Award will also be awarded to a nominated initiative demonstrating innovative strategies and exceptional outcomes towards advancing reconciliation in Queensland.
The 2024 Queensland Reconciliation Awards recipients will be announced at a ceremony during National Reconciliation Week, 27 May to 3 June 2024, receiving a share of $30,000 in prize money.
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 18 March 2024.
