As stated by Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Minister Tony Buti:

“The 10 categories of awards this year means that Western Australians in all walks of life have an opportunity to be recognised for their dedication and excellence.

“Just like our community, the categories are diverse – from those involved in the community, arts or sport, to those working in the community services sector, local government or the private sector.

“The McGowan Government values our State’s rich diversity of culture, language and heritage.

“The Western Australian Multicultural Awards are a part of our commitment to celebrate and promote this diversity.

“I encourage you to nominate people or organisations for the 2022 awards, so they receive the recognition they deserve for enhancing our multicultural society.”
