City of Darwin is considering a proposal to permanently close and dispose of approximately 344m² of road reserve adjacent to Lot 7302, 21 Dick Ward Drive, Ludmilla, following a request from Power and Water Corporation.
The land is required to facilitate critical upgrades to the Ludmilla Wastewater Treatment Plant, including construction of a new inlet lift pump station and associated infrastructure. The land in question is not currently used as a road.
Should the Minister and Council approve the road closure, the land will be offered for sale to Power and Water Corporation at market value.
In accordance with Regulation 64 of the Local Government (General) Regulations 2021, any person who wishes to object to the proposal is invited to lodge a written objection with City of Darwin by 4:00 pm on Tuesday 3 November 2026.
