NSW latest coronavirus data as at 19 April

As at 8pm, Saturday 18 April 2020, an additional 21 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since 8pm 17 April, bringing the total to 2,957.

During that time, 4,683 people were tested, 469 less tests compared to the previous 24 hours.

There are currently 245 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. This includes 21 people being treated in Intensive Care Units, with 17 of those requiring ventilators.

There has been one death related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

A 93-year-old man, confirmed positive for COVID-19, has passed away today. He was a resident of Anglicare Newmarch House.

NSW Health extends condolences to the family of this man.

There have been nine more confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Anglicare Newmarch House aged care facility in Caddens since yesterday, bringing the total to 39 cases (13 staff and 26 residents).

Visitor restrictions remain in place and contact tracing continues.

There are nine additional Ruby Princess crew members who have tested positive to COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases on board to 171. There are also 12 Ruby Princess crew members with COVID-19 in NSW Health facilities.
