Police are appealing for information after an aggravated break and enter in the Orana Region.
About 6.20pm Saturday (1 February 2020), a woman was at home in Simpson Lane, Wellington, when she heard a knock on a window and some one asking her to go to the front door.
Police have been told the woman went to the front door and noticed it was open and items in the house moved around.
The woman also noticed her house keys and a handbag containing her passport, wallet and cash missing.
The woman was uninjured during the incident.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.
