NSW police appeal after fatal crash

Police are appealing for witnesses as an investigation continue into a crash at Warwick Farm which left one man dead and another with serious injuries at Warwick Farm yesterday.

Just before 4.00pm on Thursday 10 September 2020, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway at Warwick Farm, following reports a silver Commodore utility crashed into a power pole.

The force of the impact caused the power pole to snap in half.

The driver, a 38-year-old man, died at the scene.

A front seat passenger, a 32-year-old man, suffered fractured ribs and internal injuries. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, and the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling north on the Hume Highway at Warwick Farm yesterday and witnessed the crash or saw a white Mercedes AMG around 4.00pm, or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit
