NSW police appeal after two men stabbed; two arrested in Sydney CBD

Police are appealing for information after two men were stabbed during a brawl in Sydney’s CBD overnight.

About 11.50pm, emergency services were called to the corner of George and Liverpool streets following reports of a brawl involving up to 16 people.

Upon arrival, officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command found two men, aged 25 and 28, suffering stab wounds.

They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before one man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the second to St Vincent’s Hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Following inquiries, police arrested two men, aged 18 and 21.

Liverpool and George streets were closed for a short time and have since been reopened.
