Police are appealing to the public for information after two separate reports of indecent exposure in Sydney’s west this week.
Police have been told a 26-year-old woman was walking with her 56-year-old mother and a toddler at William Lawson Park, Blacktown, at about 12.55pm Wednesday (29 July 2020) when a man began following them.
When the women turned around, the man reportedly performed a lewd act.
Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command were immediately notified and commenced inquires.
About 2pm on Wednesday, police received a second report that a person matching the description had also exposed himself and performed a lewd act at Timbertop Reserve, Blacktown.
Following inquiries, police received another report from a man walking his dog at Timbertop Reserve, Blacktown, after he noticed a person matching the man’s description acting suspiciously at about 12pm yesterday (30 July 2020).
After seeing the dogwalker, officers were told the man quickly began walking towards a white SUV parked on nearby Ollier Crescent.
Police–including an officer from the Dog Unit–conducted extensive patrols of the area; however, were unable to locate the man.
The man is described as having an olive complexion, aged 35 to 40 years, 165cm-175cm tall with short dark curly hair.
In the first incident, he was seen wearing a dark pants and a dark jacket with a fluorescent strip, while in the second incident he was wearing a hi-vis navy blue and yellow jumper, dark pants, a cap, long football socks and thongs.
As inquiries continue, police are looking to speak to the owner of a white SUV they believe may be able to assist them.
