NSW police arrest three after home invasion

Three people have been arrested following an alleged home invasion in south Sydney yesterday.

About 4pm (Wednesday 13 January 2021), police were called to a home on Crown Street, Surry Hills, following reports of a home invasion.

Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command, with assistance from Police Order and Riot Squad and the Tactical Operations Unit, commenced and operation.

Following a search two men – aged 51 and 55 – and a 27 year-old-woman, were arrested.

Five people were home at the time of the incident, no one was injured.

Following inquiries, officers found no other occupants in the house.

The men and the woman were taken to Surry Hills Police Station and were charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent to steal.

All three were refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Thursday 14 January 2021)
