NSW police charge man after urinating on statue in Sydney CBD

A man will appear in court today charged after allegedly urinating on a statue in Sydney’s CBD overnight.

Police will allege three men were in Hyde Park when one of them began to urinate on a statue about 11.15pm (Thursday 6 August 2020).

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and arrested a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Day Street Police Station and charged with wilfully damage or deface any protected place and breach of bail.

The Collaroy Plateau man was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Friday 7 August 2020).
