A man has been charged after allegedly crashing his car into parked vehicles and a power pole while drink-driving in Sydney’s south-west last night.
Emergency services were called to Hampshire Boulevard, Spring Farm, about 9.40pm (Saturday 11 July 2020) after reports of a crash.
Police have been told a 20-year-old man was driving a Kia Stinger with three passengers inside when he allegedly crashed into two parked vehicles and a power pole.
The parked vehicles – a Holden Barina and Holden Rodeo utility – and the power pole were significantly damaged.
Two passengers left the scene. The third, a 20-year-old man, suffered lacerations to his face and hands and was later taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command spoke with the driver, who was uninjured, before he was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station, where he returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.081.
His licence was suspended, and he was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for drive mid-range PCA.
He is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday 11 August 2020.
