NSW police charge man over interstate breach AVO offences

A man has been charged with breaching a NSW Apprehended Domestic Violence Order in South Australia.

On Tuesday 15 October 2019, a 37-year-old woman attended Maitland Police Station to report a breach of an ADVO by a 39-year-old man living in South Australia.

New South Wales Police liaised with South Australian Police, who commenced an investigation into the alleged electronic breaches.

Further alleged breaches occurred between 6 and 8 November 2019.

The male attended Port Adelaide Police Station yesterday (25 November 2019) where he was arrested and charged with 10 counts of breaching an intervention order.

The 39-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court in January 2020, regarding these charges.

The male was also issued with an outstanding NSW Future Court Attendance notice regarding a further offence, with allegedly occurred Monday 4 November 2019.

He is expected to appear at Maitland Local Court on Wednesday 9 January 2020.
