NSW police charge man with 23 firearm offences at Rock

A man has been charged after unregistered firearms and ammunition were seized during a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) search in the state’s south west yesterday.

Officers from Riverina Police District executed a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) search at a home in The Rock shortly after 9am (Monday 11 February 2020).

Officers allegedly located and seized a number of unregistered firearms, ammunition, and a firearm believed to be stolen from a Wagga Wagga address in 2012.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with 23 offences relating to the possession and safe storage of unregistered firearms and ammunition.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to face Wagga Wagga Local Court on 8 April 2020.
