NSW police charge man with high-range drink driving at Orange

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving in the state’s Central West.

About 11.40pm on Friday (7 August 2020), officers attached to Central West Police District received reports a vehicle was driving on the incorrect side of Bathurst Road at Orange.

Police attended and located the vehicle stationary on Bathurst Road, near Lone Pine Avenue.

Officers spoke with the driver, a 44-year-old Katoomba man, before conducting a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

The man was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.303.

The man was charged with high-range PCA and his licence was suspended.

He is due to appear before Orange Local Court on Monday 14 September 2020.
