NSW police charge man with mid-range PCA after crash into storm-water drain- Riverwood

A man will face court today charged with mid-range drink-driving after crashing his car through a metal safety fence and into a storm-water drain at Riverwood last night.

About 11.30pm (Tuesday 30 June 2020), officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended the intersection of Wiggs Road and Victoria Road following reports that a Subaru Impreza had crashed and ended up in a storm-water drain.

The driver – a 40-year-old man – was located nearby and was breath tested, returning a positive result.

The uninjured man was arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.081.

The man was charged with drive with mid-range PCA and his licence was suspended.

He was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 21 July 2020.
