NSW police charge two men after investigation into drug supply

Two men will face court today on drug supply, weapon and assault charges following an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney’s south west.

About 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 February 2021), officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command’s Proactive Crime Team investigating the supply and distribution of prohibited drugs in the area, executed a search warrant at a home on Jarrett Street, Clemton Park.

During the search investigators seized a small amount of prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis, along with drug paraphernalia.

A machete and an electronic stun device were also seized.

Following inquiries, two men were arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station.

A 60-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

He was refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 24 February 2021).

A 31-year-old man was charged with common assault (x 2) for unrelated matters and an outstanding warrant for domestic violence-related incidents.
