NSW police charge woman with drug supply

A Sydney woman will face court today charged with the commercial supply of prohibited drugs in the Illawarra region.

In September 2019, Strike Force Burmah was established by Wollongong Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs within the Illawarra.

Following extensive investigations, strike force officers identified a 50-year-old woman who was allegedly supplying ‘GBL’ throughout the region.

About 9.30am yesterday (Thursday 7 November 2019), officers executed a search warrant at a unit on Levey Street, Wolli Creek.

Officers located and seized drugs, cash and a mobile phone.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station, where she was charged with deal with property proceeds of crime, possess prescribed prohibited substance, two counts of possess prohibited drug and 11 counts of supply prohibited drug.

She was refused bail and is due to face Sutherland Local Court today (Friday 8 November 2019).
