NSW police investigate after high school student stabbed at Orange

Investigations are underway after a student was stabbed at a high school in the state’s Central West yesterday.

About 2pm (Wednesday 22 July 2020), police responded to reports of a physical altercation at a high school at Orange.

On arrival, officers attached to Central West Police District observed multiple students involved in a melee.

OC spray to was deployed to disperse the students and a 15-year-old boy was found suffering a puncture wound to his chest.

He was treated by paramedics and taken to Orange Health Service where he underwent surgery. His injury is not considered life-threatening.

A crime scene was established, and detectives have commenced an investigation.
