A crime scene has been established following the attempted armed robbery of a supermarket at Pyrmont this afternoon.
About 2.45pm (Tuesday 18 June 2019), police were called to the grocery store on Miller Street, after reports a man had threatened a shop attendant with a knife, before fleeing empty-handed.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police remain on scene as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
The man has only been described as being of Caucasian appearance.
Anyone with information that may assist is urged to come forward.
