Police are appealing for information following a report of a child approach in Erskineville yesterday.
About 3pm (Tuesday 30 April 2019), a 10-year-old boy was walking along Swanson St, near Malcolm Street, when a man approached him and claimed his father had asked him to “pick him up.”
Not recognising the man, the boy ran and boarded a nearby bus. The man did not follow him.
The matter was reported to officers from Redfern Police Area Command who launched an investigation.
They would like to speak a man described as Caucasian in appearance, medium build, about 175cm tall with brown hair and a brown beard. He was wearing a blue and white checked shirt with a shirt pocket, light grey pants, black shoes, a silver watch and had sunglasses on his head.
