NSW police officer charged with drink-driving at Wagga Wagga

An off-duty police officer has been charged with a drink-driving offence.

About 9pm on Sunday 6 January 2019, a senior constable attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended a social function.

Police allege the man had been drinking alcohol and left the venue driving a motor vehicle.

The matter was reported to police who commenced inquiries.

Following investigations, the officer was issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offence of Drive vehicle while under the influence of alcohol – first offence.

He is due to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 14 August 2019.
