NSW police release CCTV over Liverpool train assault

Police have released CCTV images following an assault on a train at Liverpool Railway Station.

About 3.20pm (Monday 13 May 2019), a 15-year-old male was travelling on a train from Fairfield.

As the train approached Liverpool Station, the male began abusing a 15-year-old male and his friends, before punching him and threatening him with a knife.

The incident was reported to police and the Police Transport and Public Safety Command commenced an investigation.

Officers have now released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The male depicted in the photographs is described as being Caucasian, aged in his mid-20’s, slim build with a large tattoo on the back of his neck.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a navy blue, hooded jumper and dark tracksuit pants and carrying a red backpack.

Police are urging anyone with information, or anyone who knows the identity of the man to come forward.
