NSW police seek information after crash at Guildford

Police are appealing for public assistance after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Sydney’s west last week.

About 4.50pm on Tuesday 23 June 2020, the 55-year-old woman, a postal worker, was riding west along Rhodes Avenue, Guildford, when she collided with a VW Golf travelling south on Milner Road.

The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead hospital in a serious but stable condition. She has since undergone surgery for her injuries.

The two occupants of the car were uninjured.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

The driver, a 22-year-old man, was spoken to by investigators and was released pending further enquires.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or either vehicle prior to the collision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
