NSW police seek information after man found injured at Fairfield

Police are appealing for information after a man was found with serious injuries in western Sydney this morning.

Just after 3am (Wednesday 12 May 2021), officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended Fairfield Street, near Vine Street, following reports of an injured man.

Upon arrival, police found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being transported to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene has been established, which was examined by specialist forensic police, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released a description of a man that may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance and at the time of the incident was wearing a white coloured baseball cap, a white t-shirt with a small motif in the centre chest area, dark tracksuit pants and grey shoes.
