NSW police seek information after man stabbed in Sydney City PAC

Police are appealing for public assistance following a stabbing in the Sydney CBD yesterday.

About 5pm yesterday (Thursday 2 June 2022), emergency services were called to a unit in George Street, Sydney, following reports a man had been stabbed.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 23-year-old man for stab wounds to the left leg. He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition and is yet to speak with police.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command arrested two men – aged 38 and 30 – at the scene. They were taken to Surry Hills Police Station but later released pending further inquiries.

A crime scene was established that was examined by specialist police.

Detectives have released images of a third man who they believe can assist with the investigation.

He is described as Asian appearance, 30 to 40 years of age, medium build and short black hair.

The man was wearing a multi coloured motorcycle helmet, grey hoodie jumper, grey pants, black shoes and a light-coloured backpack.

He was last seen on George Street near Campbell Street about 5.15pm.

The 23-year-old man and the man sought by police are believed to be known to one another.
