NSW police seek information after ram raid

An investigation is underway following a ram raid in the state’s south west early yesterday morning.

Just after 3.30am (Wednesday 26 January 2022), two unknown persons used an unknown tool to smash the glass entry door to a licensed club on Moulamein Road, Barham.

Using a rope attached to a vehicle, a cash machine was ripped from its mount and placed on the back of the vehicle before the pair fled the location.

Extensive damage was cause to the club’s entrance structure.

Police were later notified and officers from Murray River Police District attended.

A crime scene was established which has been examined by specialist forensic officers. Various items have been seized for further forensic analysis.

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone with information or has CCTV footage or dashcam vision to contact Albury Police Station on (02) 6023 9299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
