The NSW SES will keep prepositioned flood rescue experts, high clearance vehicles and other rescue equipment in the south east and metropolitan Sydney today.
A low-pressure system sitting off the southern NSW coast us being supported by a second low further west, and is expected to bring further heavy rainfall and strong winds along the south coast this morning.
Rapid impact assessment teams will move into Lake Conjola today to assess about 40 properties impacted by floodwater. NSW SES teams will also assess impacted properties in Deniliquin today.
A Watch and Act do not enter floodwaters remains in place for Lake Conjola and the Bega River.
The Bega River peaked at 6.35metres at 8:30pm on Wednesday. The low sitting off the far south coast is expected to hit land mid-morning, bringing with it a renewed risk of moderate flooding in the Bega region.
The NSW SES is urging people to assess conditions before traveling on the roads, not to walk, ride or drive through flood waters and to heed any warnings.
