NT Covid update 12 February

There were 1,383 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Northern Territory in the 24 hours to 8pm on 11 February 2022. Of these, 1,223 were positive cases from a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

Following the submission of further RAT results, the case number for the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm on 10 February 2022 has been amended to 1,138.

There were 799 cases recorded in the Top End region, 193 in Central Australia, 108 in the East Arnhem region, 80 in the Big Rivers region, 38 in the Barkly region and 165 are under investigation.

There are currently 170 patients in hospital, with 21 patients requiring oxygen. There are 2 patients in ICU.

The number of active cases in the NT is about 7,733.

Public health measures

To slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and reduce the rate of transmission, the following public health measures are in place across the NT:

  • a Territory-wide indoor mask mandate
  • it is highly recommended that all people aged 12 years and over wear a mask outdoors when physical distancing cannot be applied
