One person has died following a crash on Makirikiri Rd, in Turakina this afternoon.
Police were notified of the crash, involving a single vehicle, about 3pm.
The driver died at the scene.
Six passengers have minor-to-moderate injuries and have been assessed by ambulance staff.
The road is closed, and will be for some time.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
