Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Waiotahe Beach Road, Waiotahe in Opotiki district.
The crash, involving a car and a pedestrian, was reported at 7.40am.
Early reports indicate one person sustained injuries.
Roads are closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, if possible.
