Police have arrested two people following an incident on Milson Line in Palmerston North this morning.
Police initially responded to reports a firearm had been discharged, though fortunately no one was injured.
AOS was called-in after the suspects fled the scene.
Several schools in the immediate area closed for a short time while Police and AOS staff made inquiries.
Police are continuing to make inquiries to establish whether any other offenders were involved.
Charges are being considered considered for the two people arrested.
