Occupants of stolen ute sought, South Australia

Investigations are continuing to identify and locate the occupants of a stolen ute that took off from police at Eden Hills overnight.

About 4.30am on Wednesday 7 October, police spotted a white Ford Courier ute and indicated for it to pull over on Ayliffes Road, Eden Hills. The vehicle failed to stop and checks revealed it was a stolen car.

The vehicle was pursued through the back streets of St Marys, onto Daws Road, then citybound on Goodwood Road. It continued to travel west on Cross Road, then onto Anzac Highway before patrols lost sight of the ute in Kurralta Park.

A short time later it was found abandoned in Washington Street, Hilton. Police searched the area for the three occupants of the car, but did not locate them.

A green Hyundai Veloster was also spotted in the area, driving erratically and refusing to stop for police, which may be linked to the stolen ute.

The ute had been reported stolen from North Adelaide yesterday afternoon. It was seized by police and towed from the scene for forensic examination.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
