An off-duty police officer has been charged with sexual offences following an internal police investigation.
In May 2019, an investigation commenced after a complaint was received about alleged sexual touching of a fellow officer.
Today (Friday 18 October 2019), a 25-year-old probationary constable, attached to the Central Metropolitan Region, was served a Future Court Attendance Notice for Sexually Touch Another Person Without Consent.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 4 December 2019.
His employment status is under review.
