A police officer has been charged following investigations by police in the state’s west.
The 28-year-old male constable – attached to a command in the Western Region – was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
The charges relate to an alleged incident at a licensed premises in Tamworth on Saturday 3 April 2022.
The officer was issued a court attendance on Friday (9 September 2022), and is due to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday 31 October 2022.
