Old movable structures donated to bushfire affected residents

Shoalhaven City Council together with Holiday Haven Parks are encouraging landowners who lost their property during the 2020 fire emergency to register their interest in a second-hand moveable structures, mostly old caravans.

Landowners who are registered as bushfire affected, are encouraged to contact Holiday Haven and express their interest in using an unroadworthy moveable dwelling on their land whilst their property is rebuilt. Suitable to be used as a storage facility or site office.

With access to a limited number of these structures, Holiday Haven would be able to make them available for pick-up on a first in, best dressed basis. The list would be maintained indefinitely in case more structures become available.

In order to be eligible to receive this initiative, residents must meet the criteria below:

  1. A local landowner who has lost a house on their property from fire damage, and are in the process of rebuilding.
  2. Ability to coordinate the removal of the van from the park and transfer to your property.
  3. Willing to complete a transfer of ownership document taking responsibility for the van once it has left Holiday Haven.
