Ongoing inquiries into Viveash crash

Major Crash Investigators continue to investigate a serious traffic crash that occurred about 6:25pm on Wednesday 10 June 2020 outside La Salle College on Muriel Street in Viveash.

The crash occurred when a dark coloured sedan travelling west on Muriel Street turned right into the college carpark and into the path of an off-road motorcycle that had a rider and a pillion passenger.

The collision caused the rider and pillion passenger to be thrown over the top of the sedan. Both received serious injuries and were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with several traffic offences but investigators are still determining the movements of the dark coloured sedan.

It is believed the sedan involved stopped on Johns Street in Midland just after the crash.

Investigators would like to speak to any person who saw a dark coloured sedan parked along Johns Street near a car yard around the above time, and to anyone who may have spoken to the driver of that sedan.
