Police have seized two cars, issued 65 traffic infringement notices, and charged sixteen people as part of an ongoing operation targeting dangerous driving and anti-social behaviour on the Gold Coast.
As part of ‘Operation Victor Carve’, a large police presence was deployed on Saturday night (March 18) which intercepted a number of vehicles across the northern Gold Coast, preventing large hoon gatherings before they occurred.
The locations targeted were Pine Creek Road at Numinbah, Export Drive at Molendinar, Marks Road at Woongoolba, as well as industrial areas at Yatala and Staplyton.
Chief Superintendent Craig Hanlon said the results highlight Queensland Police’s ongoing commitment to proactively addressing the issue; “dangerous driving and hooning-related behaviour not only endangers the lives of those behind the wheel, but they also put innocent members of the public at risk.
“We will continue to target this type of driving and our officers remain focused on investigating and taking action against those involved.”

First clip: QP2300467386 – 19-year-old Coomera man issued three fines for failing to display P Plates, unregistered vehicle and speeding at Smith Street, Molendinar.
Second clip: QP2300467414 – 21-year-old Churchable man fined and issued a defect notice at Stapylton Jacobs Well Road, Stapylton.
Third clip: QP2300467422 – 29-year-old Browns Plains man issued defect notice at Darlington Drive, Yatala.
Fourth clip: QP2300467482 – 18-year-old Ormeau man charged with one count of evasion at Darlington Drive, Yatala. Vehicle was impounded. He is scheduled to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 9.
