Outgoing DPIRD Director General thanked

  • State Government thanks Ralph Addis for his service as Director General of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development
  • The State Government has thanked outgoing Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) Director General Ralph Addis for his contribution to the State.

    After seven years as Director General of DPIRD and the previous Department of Regional Development, Ralph Addis is taking an opportunity to move into another role as he approaches the end of his current contract.

    Mr Addis will be Chief Executive Officer of Lotterywest and Healthway commencing February 7, 2022 to the end of his contract on June 30, 2022.

    Mr Addis will provide great value to both Lotterywest and Healthway following the recent retirement of Susan Hunt PSM.

    The position of Director General at DPIRD will be advertised in the coming days.

    Pilbara Development Commission Chief Executive Officer Terry Hill will act as Director General of the Department until the recruitment process is finalised.

    As stated by Regional Development and Agriculture and Food Minister Alannah MacTiernan:

    “Ralph has played an important role in overseeing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Food, Regional Development and Fisheries.

    “He has helped to put the Department on a more sustainable footing following the heavy cuts of the previous Government, and facilitated the Government’s job-creating regional development and primary industries programs.

    “We thank Ralph for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
