Somerville Highway Patrol are investigating after a man was located with critical injuries in Rosebud this morning.
The 57-year-old Rosebud man was found at the intersection of Point Nepean and Boneo roads by passersby just before 12.40am.
CPR was performed, but the man sadly passed away at the scene.
Investigators have spoken to a bus driver in relation to the incident and are no longer treating the incident as a potential hit-run.
Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
